The Dead Cow at the Tannery is a community bodega, bistro & bar supporting the artists, residents, and visitors at the Santa Cruz Tannery Arts center. Our food is Decidedly Local & Aggressively Seasonal, prepared vegan first, with dairy added for flavor, and an overall reduced emphasis on animal proteins. Surprising for a restaurant named Dead Cow? The Dead Cow is a legacy Tannery name, and we wanted to honor previous endeavors while providing a catalyst for discussion around where your food comes from. We can't wait to serve you!
