Full story

Amanda is a young lady that loves to have fun, play games and go to camp. However, the summer of 2015 was Amanda’s first time to go to an overnight camp because she has cerebral palsy and is in a wheelchair.  We could tell you all about Camp Conquest, but let’s let Amanda tell us in her words.

Camp Conquest was so much fun. This was the first time in years I had spent any time away from home on my own. It really helped me build some confidence. I met lots of wonderful people, including my counselor, Leah, who I still see. Going down the waterslide was one of the highlights at camp. It didn't occur to me until later on that night what a huge deal it was. Tears of joy came down my face! The rest of the week, people came up & told me they were so proud of me! I had no idea it would make that much of an impact on others!”
