Growing Power is a national non-profit that people should have equal access to affordable, healthy, high quality food within their community. Through their Wisconsin and Illinois farms, they distribute weekly baskets of fresh produce as well as sell direct to area markets and restaurants. They also provide regular workshops attended by a global audience which teach methods for building a sustainable community food system.
Growing Power is always looking for support and volunteers for their Milwaukee-area farms. They are currently building a large urban farm in the South Side of Chicago as well. This farm will provide year-round healthy food and education to an area currently overrun by processed foods and lack of quality produce.
