I have been prime care giver to our Dad for the last five plus years, having had to give up full time work, and then take only part time work to better oversee care of aging Father who has since past on. After he was hospitalized with shingles that went from his face to in his one ear, it immediately accelerated to Alzheimers or dementia, and he lost partial hearing.
Many trials and tribulations, medical problems with kidney related issues including cancerous tumour, in and out of the hospital and a rehab, our Father did pass away this past August. Siblings who have their own families and their own household concerns, do what they can when they can. At this time, this campaign is set up to offset the running of our family home while I preparing to sell the home.
The last few months have been a troubling time for me with a pain in one ankle that took many months to get diagnosed - as a torn tendon. Making standing, working all that much more challenging.
Finally health is, on track! Then about a month ago a quick burst of lights and flashes from one eye took me to an emergency eye exam.
The eye problem should be ok, no changes to sight, yeah! But now the heat in the house is about to run out as the OIL BURNER... which should have been changed to gas years ago, is now about to die with a water leak from a coil. The coil is so rusted, that if they go to fix it, it may not be fixable and die on the spot. But all takes money, keeping things going and getting out from under. I have started to look for full time work but I am in a huge race to exit this home as buyers come a looking.
