Immanuel Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia, put up a hand-made sign proclaiming their shared value of being a welcoming community to all people. It reads, “No matter where you are from, we’re glad you’re our neighbor” in three languages: English, Spanish and Arabic. They gave us their permission to reproduce the digital version of the yard sign and to make T-shirts as well.
We have dedicated any profits from the sale of this shirt to a local racial justice organization in Wisconsin, Fit Oshkosh, Inc., offering color-brave films, community conversations, book reads, custom offerings, consultation and training.
My greatest hope is that this beautiful and important message continues to spread, and that it fills the hearts and minds of people everywhere, as we strive to create the Beloved Community.
