As a parent, business owner, human being and steward of this country, I realize the time is now to speak out on issues facing this country. We can't sit back and be complacent, but rather must stand strong as an example to our children, grandchildren and generations to come. 

The time has come for us to stand together and defend our country from those who would destroy it for the sake of money. As an artist, I feel deeply moved by the destruction of our enviromnement. As a parent, I fear for our education system and economic opportunities for our children. As a human, I am appallled by the racisim and violence so many people are facing on a daily basis. If I can do something, no matter how small to affect positive change, I feel compelled to do that.
