Hello, my name is Amy Telschow. I found out that I have a rare lung disease in 2015, and this started a domino effect of issues. I already was diagnosed with Intersistitial Cystitis in 2008, and now the Autoimmune issues are mounting. I also have Immunodeficiency Disorder and am not producing antibodies that help me from getting recurrent infections. My lung function is slowly decreasing and my Asthma is increasing, I also have aquired Narcolepsy and am functioning at a pretty low level. The prednisone that keeps me alive has cost me. I have processing issues, and major emotional side effects. Many treatment options, labs, and medication, either aren't covered by Humana HMO Staff, or are partially covered, leaving a large amount of out of pocket for us. I am unable to work now so the money raised helps me to cotinue to get the care I need.

The "Be Kind or Leave" design (there are 3 designs total) was the first idea. When you become ill enough that you are suddenly in the fight for your life, it is interesting who sticks by you, and who does not. I was a psychotherapist with my own thriving practice. I loved my job, and would go back to it in a heartbeat, I believe helping others is my calling, I was a good therapist and I am proud of that.  

I speak to insensative people almost daily, from Humana reps, to my Doctor's office front desk that run from me because my insurance is such a hassle for them, to the SSDI folks that seem that come from a place of No. You realize how toxic the negativity is. Especially when you alre in a low point of life, and are fragile. People take advantage of you, and now that I am the helpee I really see how hard it is to find kindness. I walked into another therapist office after a big let down from loved ones and on her wall was a sign "Be Kind or Leave". I immediately said "I need that on a tee shirt"!!

Then I ran accross a Tee shirt fundraiser and I searched for the best quality fundraising search and found this. I think this tee shirt reminds us all that toxic situations and people are not good for our well being. Kindness and love is all there is.
