We are all living the type 1 diabetes journey together! They are both amazing kids who have taken the challenge of living with diabetes head on!The fact that Cam and Avery are going through the same regime of blood tests and insulin injections/ insulin pump regimen that I have gone through for over 3 decades has not slowed them down at all.
Cameron is an avid soccer player and fan, and plays baseball as well. Avery is a dancer, and did her first recital this summer. They do not let diabetes interfere in anything that they want to do, or will do in the future!
This year is the 25th anniversary of he Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes, the largest charitable event the ADA runs. Let's make this the most succesful year to date! Thank you so much for your support!
