Every month, Ink to the People seeks monthly awarenesses to help others using our platform. Each campaign we launch we seek what non-profits organizations where the proceeds may go to.
Today we celebrate Dr. Martin King Jr Day to continue to recognize and learn about Black History.
A federal holiday to observe and honor the achievements of King’s work. A powerful figure as a Baptist minister and civil rights leader who advocated for nonviolent resistance against racial segregation.
We picked the proceeds to go to The King Center ( https://thekingcenter.org/about-tkc )
The King Center is a traditional memorial as well as a programmatic nonprofit in King's home state Georgia. The King Center team is continuing to strive and create a better community for all. Working together we hope to achieve impactful education and social change.
This campaign will run through February in celebration of Black History month.
The art was created by our team taking inspiration from The Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. In West Potomac Park stand a statue of King and a quote. "Out of the mountian of despair, a stone of hope."
An inspirational piece of stone with Dr. Martin Luther King craved "unfinished", creates a huge symbolism of him and his unfinished work. Chinese artist, Master Lei Yixin was the sculpture behind this amazing monument.
