The Alight Motion Pro is a new LED light that features the ability to produce both white and colored light. The idea of being able to control color temperature can give users the opportunity to run two LEDs of different color temp at the same time, creating combinations of multiple colors. This helps users get even lighting on whatever subject they're photographing, whether it's for standard use, an interview set up, or a simple single-subject portrait. The body of the unit is small in size and has a wood-grain finish that blends well in most studio environments and adds a nice touch to any space. You can also find it in black if you'd prefer something more inconspicuous. It uses an LED array with 200 individual diodes, each of which can produce light in three different power levels.
The color temperature is adjustable from 2700K to 6500K, which will help you get any kind of light you need for your situation. The main drawback with this system is the lack of dimming; the lowest setting is still very bright and when using two units at once it can be difficult to expose properly since they will both use the same max brightness level. This increases the likelihood that one or both will blow out in order to balance them, but you can fix that by turning down the output on either white side (or both) in post after testing your lighting setup. While it's definitely a product that could benefit from future firmware updates like dimming and wireless control, it's still fairly affordable for what you get, especially compared to other lighting systems on the market.
The Alight Motion Pro seems like it would be best suited for photographers who are looking to light subjects in a way where color temperature is either not important or they already have another LED light that can do that job. This device can also serve as an interesting substitute if another unit breaks down and you don't want the downtime of waiting for repairs or need to rush out of town for an emergency shoot.
If these features sound useful to you then this product could be just what you're looking for, but once again, if you already own similar products (or plan to) this might not be entirely necessary your shooting situation calls for something
