boston is a majority-minority city with white people making up around 45% of the population while holding a disproportionate amount of control. the median net worth of a white Bostonian is $247,500. the median net worth of a Black Bostonian is $8. read that again.
by supporting this campaign, you will be giving money directly to a) helping low income Black people get out of jail where they are unfairly kept simply because they can't pay their disproportionately high bail - and people who have been unfairly arrested and b) to the Boston branch of the national Black Lives Matter organization!
