Last year God began working on my heart about going on a mission trip. I'd done mission projects, service projects, and contributed to others going on mission trips, but I myself had never gone on one. One Wednesday night some students, who'd just come back from a mission trip, were talking about their experiences. The College/Young Adult Pastor outlined some upcoming opportunities, one of those was for Thailand. I left church that night, not thinking much about it, but God kept bringing it to mind. The Holy Spirit kept nudging my heart whispering "Go." After a lot of prayer and a lot of thought, I decided to take a leap of faith and go on my very first mission trip. In July of this year (2020) I will be going with a couple of Pastors and a group from my church to Thailand. There we will be working with kids teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). The trip costs $2,600.00. To me alone, the amount is intimidating. However, I know that God will provide. I'd like to ask you to come along on this journey with me. You can help me in three main ways. First, I ask that you pray for me and the other people on this trip. Please pray for traveling mercies and the people we're going to. Pray that their hearts will be softened and prepared to hear the Gospel. Secondly, would you please ask the Lord about helping me financially? Though you may not be able to get on a plane and go to Thailand yourself, your contribution will enable you to be a partner with me on this trip. Finally, I need to get the word out!
