Austyn has had a long medical past. Liver transplant, Mitochondrial disease, a few other diagnoses and a lot of hospital stays. He has spent a majority of the last 5 months in hospital due to his kidney disease, viral infections, electrolyte imbalances, and even some medication allergies. He got his HD catheter for Dialysis and has had a rough start with dialysis. But is being a champ and doing great with continuing. He's on the last stretch to hopefully going home. Then he will be going to outpatient dialysis 3 times a week in Boston. Hopefully dialysis continues to help him feel a little better and then we will just work on a future kidney transplant. The upcoming months are going to be filled with a lot of traveling for appointments and being in the hospital for at least 4 hours 3 times a week.
