AVC has worn pink to supprt the Dig Pink foundation for several years. This year has proven to us that cancer comes in more than one color!

AVC is family and recently a member of our family, Coach David Thomas (15-1), was diagnoised with oral cancer. I was immediatly struck with the question what can we do to support David, Melissa and Emerson? I stopped and prayed. Then I started planning: maroon and Ivory ribbons for the girls bags and a reminder of how DIGS will carry them along this battle. David's determination to fight, Intentional in how we choose to pray for him, Grateful for doctors and medical professional and the Selflesness it takes for David to be at practices and games cheering on our AVC athletes. Then my next thought was that we do the Dig Pink campaign but that cancer isn't always pink. The reach of all cancers to our athletes is sadly one we truly will never know. I created this design in hopes that when our athletes wear it they feel the connection to those they love who are fighting and those who have fought.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to support Coach Thomas and The Orcal Cancer Foundation.
