Michael and I always knew we wanted to have children, but I always knew it would be a challenge. In April of 2015 I took myself off of birth control. In August, I knew something was wrong. I was diagnosed with PCOS, which is a challenge in itself. We were sent to a specialist in Shreveport where I had surgery in June 2016 to remove ovarian cysts that wouldn’t go away on their own. We then saw a doctor in Jackson, MS where we have done numerous fertility treatments and spent lots of time and money. All of this has led us to IVF, which we will begin in March. We’ve been praying for over 3 years for Baby Johns, and now we are on to our last option before our desire to later adopt may become a reality.
IVF is super expensive, and we have both been working lots of overtime and second jobs to make the extra money and save for it. Anything to help us welcome a sweet bundle of joy would mean the world to us. Regardless, we know God is greater than every high and low we have been through. And that’s where we get our shirt design. It’s been a constant reminder that God has never left, even when He’s been silent.
