Full story

The Art work:

The picture on my apparel is called: The Brave Caterpillar. It features a green caterpillar hanging in an L-shape in a white tree, on a cliff which overlooks rocks and water.

Hanging upside down in that L-shape is a critical step, a prerequisite for making cocoons (I know from raising butterflies). Hence, the caterpillar in the picture has found the only tree around and is daring to fulfill his calling; even though the tree is in a precarious place (on the edge of a high cliff). If he was up there for any other reason, climbing that high would be an act of stupidity. In the context of living his calling, it's an act of bravery.

I have been a student at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena since 2009. However, my progress towards a degree has hit a wall; since I have been unable to find an internship.

After praying about what to do, I found Ames International School of Ministry, an online bible college. The cost for the entire program is 440 dollars and I would be able to become a licensed minister at the end of the two-year program.

This in turn would open doors to employment options such as Christian life-coaching, hospital chaplain work, doing weddings, etc.

I have felt called to ministry and missionary work since about age four. Becoming licensed in ministry is a critical step towards achieving my goal of becoming a full-time missionary!

I have used up all of my financial aide options! So, I decided to start a fundraiser. I drew the artwork and wrote the slogan on the items I have for sell.

Because of my disability, (I have cerebral Palsy and I use a wheelchair) I am on SSI; the $440 would be half my monthly check! Clearly, there is no way I could afford the program on my own. I prayed about how to raise the money and then found this website. I am truly grateful for everyone who is willing to support me!

I am going to find out if this website can pay Ames directly, if not my dad has agreed to receive the money and send it to the school.
