On a dark, bitterly cold evening in Dec.2016, a litter of 8 puppies & their young mother where found on a country road outside a small rural city in Idaho.  A caring family stopped to avoid hitting the young, female lab mix, who we have named Roxi, & suddenly out from the side of the road runs 8 very young puppies.  Thank goodness a caring family picked them up, contacting nearby families hoping to find their home, but no one claimed them.  Local law enforcement was contacted, a temporary foster home was located, & rescue was secured. 

Since that evening, 4 compassionate foster homes have taken on the responsibility of caring for the puppies & their mother while waiting for transport to rescue.  Terrible weather & a vehicle breakdown delayed the transport for a week. The day they were set to leave, one puppy became sick & was tested positive for parvo.  The remaining 7 in the following days also broke w/ the deadly virus.  Two vet techs @ Mountain River Vet Clinic, who had been fostering 5 of the puppies, stepped up to help as has the Humane Society of the Upper Valley.  The bill, for treatment at Mountain River Vet Hospital, will be large and we need the community’s help to make sure these pups get the care they need.

Please, let’s come together now & not let Roxi & her babies down again!  They didn’t deserve to be dumped, cold & alone in sub-zero weather.  Let’s try to save them from this horrible disease!  This T shirt fundraiser should help with the medical costs incurred for treating all 8 of the pups.
