My name is Andrea Carpio I’m in 6th grade at Mile High Academy. My class is doing a mission trip to the biggest refugee camp in Uganda.
As part of the middle school real-world-learning (RWL) opportunities at MHA our RWL will be headed to the refugee camp in Uganda on March 1-13, 2019. We are going to by digging latrines and wells, setting up light poles and solar panels, consructing clay ovens, packing feminine hygiene kits, garden tending, presenting a VBS program for the younger kids, and planning a sports ministry for teens.
I'm so excited about the opportunity. I’m looking forward to helping the refugees in any way I can. I hope you think this trip is important. A trip like this requires a lot of money. I need to raise $3,200 for myself. And every kid will have to raise the same amount.
