I am Whitney, I currently have a brain tumor. 8 years ago I lost my sister to a brain tumor and it has been my fight since diagnosis to help anyone affected by or going through it. Everyday a child has been diagnosed and parents have to make a tough decision as far a treatment and how to care for their little ones. Several parents have to leave their jobs, take leave of absences and fight the fight with their children. I personally have experienced the expense of treatment, missing work, and devastatingly enough the loss of this fight. Their are several parents at Palmetto Richland who are trying to figure out how to pay bills, work, be with their kids and survive financially.
