I suffer from depression, anxiety, and panic disorder; many others around the world do as well, in addition to many other mental conditions. Mental illness is often mocked and used for comedic relief in several forms of entertainment or is seen as not being a big deal, making it that much harder for those who suffer to receive the help they seek. We are often told to "Get Over It" and to "Just Be Happy", often leading to something worse.
That is why I am on a mission to Break The Stigma of mental illness and try to get more people take seriously the struggles we go through on a daily basis. I want to help bring awareness to the reality of what our mental illnesses actually are and hopefully will help to create the conversations we need to be having.
