Chambersburg Daredevil Club fundraiser

Since 1978, the Chambersburg Daredevil Club has been performing death-defying stunts, much to the great amusement of the good people of Chambersburg.

Being an independent daredevil is a great gig, but it does tend to limit your insurance options.

The vast majority of our events go off without a hitch, but every once in a while somebody is grievously injured. We're trying to raise money to help cover the medical expenses of the daredevils and fans who are tragically injured at one of our family-friendly events.

All funds raised will go towards medical expenses

Full story

The Chambersburg Daredevil Club was formed in 1978 by the late William R. Turcell. Bill was often called the "Poor Man's Evel Knievel", although we take issue with that - Chambersburg's economy was thriving in 1978! Bill wasn't really trying to put together a club, but so many kids in Chambersburg kept hurting themselves trying to recreate his incredible feats that he figured it would be better to bring them in under his wing and mentor them. That didn't really stop them from hurting themselves, but at least at least there weren't any more deaths. (RIP Tom Littleton. We miss you always.)

Bill Turcell may not be with us any longer, but his legacy is still going strong with the Chambersburg Daredevil Club! We hope you'll consider contributing to this important Chambersburg institution.
