My father was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer almost 5 years ago, following the loss of his job during the 2008 economic crisis and after suffering a series of heart attacks. He's had a tough go of it to say the least. Together with my uncle I scoured medical journals for any hope that there might be something that could be used in addition to his chemotherapy treatments to help him fight his cancer. From there I discovered the world of curcumin augmented chemotherapy, fasting before going in for treatment, and various other promising means/methods for improving the effectiveness of chemotherapy or at least dulling its bite considerably. It never ceases to amaze me how many cancer patients have told me they are okay with the idea of dying, and only wish they could enjoy the time they have left without the often brutal side effects of chemotherapy. I designed this shirt to share the message that there may yet be hope for cancer patients to see better days ahead. 


As for the purpose of the fund raiser, it is to help my dad pay off the medical bills he has accumulated over the years. He is currently relying on selling off all his inheritence and several prized possessions. He's given up on the idea that he might be able to travel with my mother in his late years due to lack of funds. With a hope and a prayer I'm starting this campaign so that he might know some finanacial  stability before his time comes, that he might no longer carry the guilt of leaving his family in dire straits.
