When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, the co-founders of SBP were burdened by how destroyed thee city was. Quickly they packed up and went to help, which is when they began SBP. They created the orginazion to assist with rebuilding homes, supporting those affected, and providing volunteer opportunities. The organization quickly grew and is now located in multiple states including Louisianna, South Carolina, and Texas. All money raised will go to support the Columbia, SC location of SBP.
