HeartBroken! Yes we are! But together in UNITY & STRENGTH we can OVERCOME!

On September 18th, 2017 Hurricane Maria made landfall at night on my island Dominica. Maria, a category 5 hurricane with sustained winds over 160mph, traveled the length of this small island leaving behind total destruction. Structural damage is assessed at 70% – 80%, there is no electricity, no water, no food.

Twenty seven people have been confirmed dead, and over 50 missing thus far. Dominica has been cut off from the rest of the world with the collapse of the communication systems. It is estimated that it will take several years to rebuild Dominica.

Amidst the tears of lost family members, amidst the joy of those who survived, amidst the trauma experienced, especially by the elders and children, I am requesting your help.
