After losing my brother Daniel to suicide on March 10, 2016, I have discovered just how staggering the numbers of suicide there are each year.
Every 40 seconds someone in the world dies by suicide! In America, someone dies by suicide ever 12.3 minutes...an average of 43,000 American's A YEAR. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 44 and under. Veterans comprise 22.2% of suicides each year. The number of suicides amoung college students and has increaded each year.
I walk in honor and memory of my brother and all others lost to suicide. I walk to help and try to stop suicide!
