The Talcott Mountain Science Center's mission is to inspire a love of learning through discovery and engagement; to explore the interconnected nature of science, technology and our ever-changing world; and to be the catalyst that unlocks the potential within each individual. We help children reach for the stars. Our approach to education engages students at a critical age in their development. We help them build their self-confidence and believe in their ability to solve problems while also teaching them the importance of teamwork and listening to/learning from others. Most importantly, we teach children the importance of asking questions and looking further than the first solution that presents itself.
These ideals are what inspires creative thinking and new ideas, and they are the foundation that will empower today's students to be tomorrow's leaders. They'll make our world a better place for all.
