I am embarking on this trip with my sister, Maddy, through an organization called TeachBeyond. They strive to bring education to people all over the world through international schools, English camps, and short-term trips like this one. Over the span of two weeks we will help run creative, fun, camps for boys and girls (ages 5-10). There are restrictions about what we can specifically talk about with the kids, but we are still hoping to share the Gospel through story-time and the message of redemption through our various activities. These activities will center on helping children to see beyond their current situation, welcoming them with love, and acknowledging their worth and dignity.
We chose the phrase "Freed to Love" becasue of Galatians 5:13-14 which says, "You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: 'Love your nieghbor as yourself.'" We have been freed to share the message of freedom and loved to love others. This is the call of Christ
