Once it’s Gone, it’s Gone Forever.
Do we really need another gas station or river front condos? You are the key to making a difference and saving this national treasure and keeping it out of the landfill. Green Gables is listed on the National Registry, as a historical landmark but it’s still at a huge risk of being torn down for commercial gain.
We are raising money to benefit Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, so the nonprofit can purchase, save the house and refurbish it, and run it as a community center, living museum and offer outreach and educational programs for all ages. The surrounding 1.15 acres of green space, with 100+ yr old trees, on the river, is also at risk of destruction.

www.bUneke.org, a partnering nonprofit, heard the situation and offered an in-kind donation of a 34 minute, professionally shot and edited documentary film depicting the past, present and future of the home and land, because they felt so strongly about saving Green Gables. Link below.
More information about Green Gables: Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc., is working to preserve Green Gables, the home of William and Nora Wells who were among the most influential early leaders in the development of the city of Melbourne, located on the spacecoast of Florida. Green Gables, built in 1896, is the most significant heritage structure remaining in Melbourne, Florida.
