Gritty is the mascot we’ve all been waiting for. Gritty, originally from the radical city of Philly, now resides in the hearts of all who oppose fascism, racism and outright bigotry. And as the recent City of Philadelphia proclamation states, “It has been argued that he "conveys the absurdity and struggle of modern life under capitalism.”

In the spirit of Woodie Guthrie’s anti-fascist guitar, we bring you the Gritty t-shirt for all occasions. Fascists coming to rally in your town? Perfect counter-protest tee! Going to the corner store? Make fascists feel unwelcome in your neighborhood. Going to a family dinner? Avoid those awkward conversations by letting your t-shirt say it all. You just love wearing black? No excuses are needed. It’s also the perfect gift for your friends and comrades who oppose fascism! This t-shirt is a fundraiser for Agency, a group of anarchists that provide media support to anarchist projects, work with journalists to ensure anarchist voices are heard by a wider audience, and track mentions of anarchists and antifa in the mainstream media.

Over the past year we have provided media comment and background briefings to journalists covering counter-protests of racist rallies around the U.S., the criminalization of anarchists, as well as tracking mainstream media articles about anarchists. We have also developed the Agency Newswire to make it easier for you to keep track of this news.

While most of our work is done on a volunteer basis, we do have monthly costs covering our web presence and a stipend for our Project Coordinator. Sales of Gritty t-shirts will help us cover these monthly costs and ensure Agency continues to be a sustainable project. We deeply appreciate any support in continuing this important work, and the work of those on the ground and in the streets resisting the racist far-right.
