Full story

Dear Family and Friends,

I am trying to raise enough money so that I can finish my last semester of nursing school. Through all the obstacles I have faced over these last few months, I have managed to maintain a 3.46 GPA.
I have completed more than half of my program; I have only 145 days until graduation(JUNE 2018). In total I need to raise about $3500 cover the remaining cost of my last semester. This amount will cover my tuition, labs fees, books and transportation cost.
Over this last year my journey to become a nurse has been filled with many obstacles. Things have gone left more than I would have liked. My hardships began when I lost my job back in October. Emotionally and financially this event was devastating, and hard to come to terms with. But by the grace of God I was able to secure another job that afforded me opputunity to finish that semester.
Life was good until I had to deal with finding a new daycare for my daughter as the location was closing. For about 3 weeks I joggled my daughter between 4 caregivers. Luckily I was able to secure the last spot in a location that we both absolutely loved.

A few weeks passed and yet again another shoe dropped... I went in to get an oil change and came out needing a list of safety things done. The bill came to $2300. I had no choice at the time but to use the money I saved up for my last semester towards the car maintenance.  As I transport my daughter in that car and its my only way to the clinical sites. At the time I didn’t think it would be too hard to replace the money because I was working. However, when it rains it pours.  Not too long after getting the car fixed my job cut my hours down. I went from working 32 hrs a week down to a mere 8-16 hrs a week. I was already struggling to make thinks work on the 32 hrs and now my budget is even smaller.
