Youth and teens can spread the word, and the work FAST with technology.  Our program encourages families, youth, teens, schools, to find a local veteranarian, and/or a big pet store spay and neuter program, or support a program by buying these shirts, and using fundraising techniques we suggest to create one million more spay and neuter operations in 2019.   You can write to your favorite television animal program and ask them how you can use this fundraiser to raise money for THEIR low cost spay and neuter programs.   Our local humane society put up a plaque that says for every cat or dog spayed or neutered in just five years an incredible 7,000 animals will NOT be abandoned, neglected, or tortured or killed in shelters that are overfilled.   We asked other shelters, and rescues, they said that for some animals this number can be even higher.   If we could, for just five years increease spay and neuter locally, we would have to IMPORT rescued animals and help to raise awareness and availability of low cost, or free spay and neuter around the world.   This project is our educational project for our little group of Roots and Shoots, the Jane Goodall Foundation programs that encourage education and participation in helping nature and animals.  There are many pets in shelters and rescues that can be adopted if they are spayed and neutered.  Many shelters and rescues do not rehome un-neutered animals.  ASK your local shelter how you can help to raise those funds for them.  The money for the shirts is going (from our end) directly into the Foundation bank account, and will be distributed to those spay and neuter programs that are well respected for the numbers of animals they service in areas that need it the most.   The Foundation Education programs are ALL run by volunteers, and not one penny will go to anything but spay and neuter programs with a great reputation for actually spending the money on spaying and neutering only.  You will be able to check to see how all the projects are gaining on the one MILLION more spay and neuters.  If a project spays 3500 each year, this money will go to fund MORE, not just the same number.   Each local youth or teen creating a program will be asked to help design the shirts for thee ongoing campaigns for the next four years!
