Mike Gaustad is, as many know, just about one of the most charismatic infectious people that has ever graced us with his presence as he would kindly put it.  A wonderful father of 4 great children and a friend to all who know him. He’s spent the last 20 years on Lindstrom fire moving all the way up to the assistant chief and being a mentor to many.

He is as funny and quick witted as they come. Truly a blessing calling this man friend and as his kids would say what a blessing he is to call (simply) Dad! His passion for fire fighting hunting and fishing and the OCCASIONAL beer around a bbq or a fire pit with friends and family and his love of the open road on his Bike are just a few things Mike loves. His kids are the most important thing in his life and what a fun loving Dad they have. Mike is in the battle of his life right now fighting Interstitial Lung Disease. A very rare disease that attacks his lungs and leaves permanent irreversible scarring and inflammation. He is currently on life support waiting for a lung transplant. Mike is strong there is no doubt but this is a battle that is going to take everything he has and all the prayers and good vibes we as family and friends can give.
