Mike Spencer was attached to a federal gang task force while employed with the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office. 4 years ago, Mike was patrolling through a crime and gang infested neighborhood in Wilmington, NC. He and his partner got out to speak with a suspicious individual. As they approached, the man began running and pulled a handgun out and shot at the officers. A round struck Mike in his right thigh, shattering his femur and effectively ending his law enforcement career.For 4 years now, Mike and his family have been wading through the nightmare that the county and workers comp is putting them through. Mike has said more than once that this is worse than the actual shooting.Mike Spencer nearly gave his life serving New Hanover County and Sheriff Ed McMahon. It is well past time for them to settle with Mike and give him what he is due! In the meantime, it would be great to flood New Hanover County with these shirts so that the Sheriff and the County Commissioners can see that even though they don't support Mike Spencer/INDIA 36, we do!Thanks for your support!
