Here reporting from Kiboga one of orphanages that we are presently helping in Uganda. Roughly about 100 miles from the border of DRC in the west. Most of the 400 children are from Rwanda and are orphans from a previous generation from the Rwandan Genocide. Many of them have Malaria and other sub Saharan tropical diseases. Many are suffering from malnutrition and because of the lack of clean drinking water have chronic diarrhea which is the second largest killer on the African continent. And if that's not enough contaminated water infects the children with what is called Schistosomiasis or "snail fever". The classic photo of children with distended stomachs is usually caused by this disease. I learnt one thing very early on and that it's impossible to save all of the children. But we can save some and with your donations we can save more. Thank you
