On December 13th 2016 I had taken Landon to the doctor because i had suspected he was very anemic, but the doctor told me there was nothing wrong with him. I asked for blood work to be done that day to be sure, the following monday the 19th the tests results were supposed to be ready that day but there was a problem and it had to be redone. I could just tell there was something seriously wrong with Landon and i didnt want to wait a few more days for blood work so I took him to the local hospital. He had blood work done there, his platelets and red blood cell levels were very low and he was transferred to another hospital to see a special doctor. he had a blood transfusion and a platelet transfusion that night. The next morning he had a bone marrow biopsy and aspiration. Later in the afternoon we got the devastating news that he has pre-b Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Hes a little over a month into treatment and hes doing better than he was, hes in remission now but he still has a long road ahead of him.
