Hey all,
So I am officially a "sent one", read missionary. This is my FIRST official missions trip and I could not be more honored. CRU, Campus Crusade for Christ Ministries has a really dope program called Jesus Films; this film is used as an evangelistic tool to visually proclaim the gospel and has been translated into over 1,600 languages. One of their recent testimonies, of the anointing over that film, was from August 2017, which reads: "When we were showing the Jesus film a sick man saw Jesus healing in the film, so he believed Jesus for his own healing and was immediately healed from sickness. Many people recieved Jesus, responding in tears. Many people responded to the alter call"- Church Planter Esatu.
What I love is that Jesus Films is adding to the mix of work that the local believers are ALREADY investing themselves in. We aren't coming with the answers, BUT with creative additions to their evangelistic efforts. Our team will have the opportunity to serve Christ in the capital city, where believers from all over the ecountry will gather for two weeks of training in film showing and short film tools. We'll also train believers in evangelism and discipleship strategies. All this will equip believers to reach their country! We pray that thousands will have the opportunity to see the JESUS film as a result and that churches will be planted!
On a very personal note, since my first trip to Ghana, West Africa Summer 2016, God has truly confirmed His purpose and plan for me. I am called to build the nations! This spring I will be finishing up my Master of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I am in a huge transition and God has opened up a door for me to serve Him, by serving His people. God has laid a vision on my heart to encourage millenial believers by highlighting the ways He is meeting needs and producing fruit in their lives! This trip is an extension of that purpose.
Would you please consider being part of this ministry with me, both prayerfully and financially, to enable me to go and share Christ's love with the students in Republic of the Congo. My total need is $3500 for airfare and the project fee. I have personally invested $1500 of my saved funds to sow a seed towards my trip.
