I am so excited to say that I have the opportunity to go on my very first foreign mission trip this summer to Choluteca, Honduras. I will be able to show God’s love to the people there by building ​two ​houses, leading bible studies, giving a month’s worth of rice and beans to those who need, and telling people about the Word. This is an amazing opportunity for others to come to know Christ and I’d like to help with that. 

I, along with a 30-member team, will be working alongside Mount Carmel Baptist Mission in Choluteca which is a very poor and deprived area. Temperatures will be above 90 the entire trip and will feel like it’s over 110 degrees. Humidity is also very high year-round, so this means there will be extreme working environments. Our team will be building two, 200 square foot cinder block houses which is such a blessing considering people in Choluteca live in dirt and mud huts and sheds made of plastic bags woven between sticks. There are very few homes with running water or electricity. Most homes don’t even have an outhouse. This place is a very desperate and needy place. They need to be shown God’s love. 

Currently, I’m praying about this trip and I hope you will join me. Not only for me but also the needy people in Honduras, the missionaries already serving, safe transportation, and items to supply everyone for the trip. I’m sure your prayer would be greatly appreciated by everyone involved in this. 

In serving out the Great Commission, there is a financial need that must be met to serve on this trip. Would you prayerfully consider and ask God if he would have you give financially to my cause. Please, don’t let this letter guilt you, I want to you to be able to give out of your heart.
