Lynch Syndrome WARRIOR is a person who FIGHTS the struggles of having Lynch Syndrome. Lynch Syndrome is a hereditary cancer syndrome, which predisposes us to a litany of cancers and is diagnosed through genetic testing. Annually, we must receive life saving medical tests to screen for cancer. We have a high risk of developing cancer, but thankfully more PREVIVOR WARRIORS exist because of these screenings. Our *PREVIVOR WARRIORS fight by being diagnosis, advocating for themselves, and by bravely and diligent receiving their annual screens. Even though it can be scary, they continue on. Understandably, they worry about developing cancer but do not put their head in the sand, but instead are persistent about FIGHTING for themselves and their family. Our Survivors are those who are fighting, living with, or have fought cancer courageously with a WARRIORS spirit. Overtly and in overtly we fight to keep cancer from thriving or coming back. Many have fought cancer multiple times. We live with the daily after effects of chemotherapy or radiation treatment. Though often our thoughts of cancer lurk in our minds, we CHOOSE TO FIGHT ON. We CHOOSE to take care of ourselves. We CHOOSE to get the screening we need. We CHOOSE to educate our family and friends. We CHOOSE to fight our fears. We CHOOSE to fight to keep our families safe. We are not perfect, we may fall at these things from time to time but inevitably, we fight on with a WARRIORS SPIRIT. Let's celebrate the Lynch Syndrome WARRIOR!
