We visited Australia this past summer, 2016, and fell in love with everything about it. While there, we visited the Great Barrier Reef and were devasted to learn that this breathtaking beauty was on the verge of death. Not only is the reef stunning & enormous, but also home to over 1,500 species of fish, 411 types of hard coral, one third of the world's soft corals, 134 species of sharks and rays, & six species of threatened marine turtles.
The expression "no worries," was something we kept hearing from the Australians over and over, & it became somewhat of a trademark for our experience there. It perfectly encapsulated Australia and everything we loved about it.
As our way of giving back to the place we came to love, we are starting the "No Worries Mate" campaign, to raise support for the Australian Marine Conservation Society in hopes that we can play a part in saving the Great Barrier Reef, and hopefully go back one day.
