Full story
In the early hours of Sunday September 11, Officer Dillon Vakoff responded to a domestic disturbance. When he and another officer attempted to breakup the disturbance, a man opened fire, hitting and wounding a woman and mortally wounding Officer Vakoff.
Officer Vakoff was only 27 years old. He served with the US Air Force for 6 years before becoming a police officer in his hometown at Arvada Police Department. He loved his family and his dog Nemisus. He was the true definition of a good police officer and serviceman.
This shirt was designed with direct requests from his family and girlfriend. They specifically asked that the shirt include the airforce, and American flag, the Arvada Police Badge and his dog Nemisis. A Lot of thought and care went into the design. Dillon's name, badge nunber and EOW date can be found on the front of the shirt with an American Flag, blue line and a rendered photo of his dog Nemisis (yes, that's really his pup!). On the sleeve, you will find the Arvada PD Badge and below the Airforce Staff Sergeant stripes, Vakoff's rank when serving with the Airforce.
All funds raised will go directly to the Colorado Fallen Heroes Foundation - which will distribute the funds directly to Vakoff's Family. The Colorado Fallen Heroes Foundation is the only foundation approved by Arvada Police Department for submitting donations. Additional funds can be donated when ordering your shirt - 100% of your monetary donation will be donated directly to CFHF.
Please also note - shirts will not print until the campaign has ended. You can expect shirts around 10/15/22. This is so we can raise as much money for Dillon's family.
