On June 21, 2021, Officer Gordon Beesley responded to a suspicious incident in the Olde Town Square near the Arvada Library. Upon arrival he was approached by the suspect who ambushed him, shooting and killing him. A good samaritian tried to intervene but was also shot and killed.
Officer Beesley served the Arvada community as a law enforcement officer for 19 years. He was a School Resource Officer who was well respected by all. He leaves behind a wife and 2 boys. He was also recognized for helping a student with a cognitive disability, by buying him a bike and riding with him to and from school.
His motto: ""Look for the good in every day"
This shirt was designed to truly honor Officer Beesley's memory. The tree, an oak tree, represents the tree planted after he was honored as Officer of the Year. The bike represents his passion for bikes. 0219 is Officer Beesley's badge number, which was placed on the trunk near the roots of the tree - this represents Officer Beesley's life. The roots bleed into the thin blue line to represent the line he held for 19 years. We also wanted to include his motto, as we believe everyone should live by it.
All funds raised will go directly to the Colorado Fallen Heroes Foundation - which will distribute the funds directly to the Beesley Family. The Colorado Fallen Heroes Foundation is the only foundation approved by Arvada Police Department for submitting donations. Additional funds can be donated when ordering your shirt - 100% of your monetary donation will be donated to the CFHF.
