Raising awareness for missing soldier Pvt Richard Halliday and the continuing search for him.
This campaign is closed. Send a message to the creator of this fundraiser and ask them to relaunch it.
Pvt Halliday has been missing from Fort Bliss in El Paso Texas since July 23, 2020. His family was unaware of his disappearance until they called his unit 36 days after he was last seen. He was listed as “Absent Without Leave (AWOL)” and then as a “Deserter”. Both duty status changes follow the Army policy at that time. However, since then the Army has changed their policy on missing soldiers and on November 25, 2020, Pvt. Halliday's unit changed his status to “Duty Status-Whereabouts Unknown (DUSTWUN)” and later to “Missing” on December 5, 2020. He is the first Continental US (CONUS) soldier to be listed as “Missing” under this new policy. On Saturday, April 10, 2021 we will gather at Album Park in El Paso Texas wearing red t-shirts and releasing red balloons. Richard's favorite color is red. We hope to color the sky red as a red alert, and to not only raise awareness for our missing soldier but shine a light for all missing loved ones. Funds will be used to support those helping us in our search for him and any equipment they need.
If you are able and would like to sponsor a red balloon please send a note or prayer with your donation so we can print it out and put it in the balloon.
