About the Design:

/ˈsemēˌkōlən,ˈsemīˌkōlən/

 

noun

  1. a punctuation mark (;) indicating a pause, typically between two main clauses, that is more pronounced than that indicated by a comma.

 

A period marks the end of a sentence, a story. A Semicolon indicates a pause between moments in time, the sentence is not over, and neither is the story. The Semicolon became more than just a punctuation mark in 2013 when Mental Health Advocate Amy Bleuel made it a symbol for those fighting mental illness. Today in 2020, the Semicolon is a symbol recognised worldwide. It is a mark that reminds those of us afflicted with Mental Health issues that OUR STORY ISN’T OVER YET. No matter how dark the day is, we can pause and keep fighting tomorrow. 

 

This shirt was designed by Cole and brought to life through Nana’s incredible talents with the computer and inspired by Zack Snyder himself. The design is simple but its meaning is vast. Believe, along with the justice league symbols, stands for believing in yourself and believing in heroes, whether fictional or real. Hope alongside the BVS logo stands for the birth of hope at the end of Batman VS Superman Dawn of Justice.
