An ode to the pitbull who started it all for me- Lilo! She is, in a sense, the "patron saint" of Pitbull Advocates of Armstrong County and the rescue.

A group for Pitbull advocates in Armstrong County Pennsylvania and beyond. Our mission is threefold- Liberate. Educate. Advocate. LIBERATE- Rescue pitbull and "pitbull type" dogs, particularly from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect, with the intention of finding them the perfect forever home. EDUCATE- Share information with the public to help change perceptions of these often misunderstood dogs. Work with dogs on an individual basis to help them be the best new family members they can be. ADVOCATE- Work to eliminate Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) so that pitbulls can find or stay in loving forever homes.
