Children have grand visions of what they’ll be when they grow up. Some want to change the world, others want to help people, many want to explore, discover and invent new things--and some want to do it all! The great thing is that, with the right education... everything is possible!

But what is the ‘right education’? Children are as unique as snowflakes, which means there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach to learning. This is why your support of the Talcott Mountain Science Center is so important.

For more than fifty years, Talcott has seen students--some who flounder in traditional schools--flourish at Talcott. These are students who may be bored in their classrooms. Some just don’t fit in because they love to learn. And, while their circumstances and backgrounds differ, they all have a thirst for knowledge and an exceptional ability to soak it all in.

When these students and their families visit Talcott—they’re hoping to find something better. As they wind their way up the mountain, they realize that Talcott is different… and they’re right. Their children’s eyes light up when they visit Talcott’s classrooms, meet our students and see what they’re working on. It’s what they’ve been searching for; it’s a place where their children can finally belong.

But the cost of this unique education is one that many families can’t afford. This is where your support can really make a difference. 

As a non-profit organization, the Talcott Mountain Science Center relies on generous donations from people like you to support our programs and provide educational scholarships for families in need. In fact, we can’t do it without you!
