We are raising money to get a boarding/training facility. We must expand to do more. We have grown beyond what our foster base can handle and need a boarding/training facility to grow and to help more Veterans, while saving more dogs. With a facility we also plan to implement new programs where Veterans needing a companion dog can come in and see the dogs we have, giving them a chance to find a connection or bond. Then the Veteran can come to training with the dog on a weekly basis, as needed, but can have their dog sooner, as they can work on training at home with the dog practicing skills learned in classes. Veterans needing more specifically trained dogs will have the same opportunities to bond, but we will complete more of the training, before the dog is adopted out to their Veteran.
