As many are aware, recently the breed has been impacted by a health issue. There are two families who have been impacted. In an attempt to raise money to help with these costs it was decided to do a fundraiser to help support these two families and assist with additional testing, getting the DNA samples completed and sent, testing of additional dogs, ultra-sounds, bloodwork, etc.
This is an important step towards ensuring the health of the breed going forward and to do additional DNA testing to ensure there are no other underlying issues, at least for those which have genetic markers.
