We are Salveo Diagnostics - a human health diagnostics laboratory in Richmond, VA focusing on stomach health and chronic disease.  Every year we participate in the Heartwalk, which is organized by the American Heart Association (AHA), because this is what we do every day - try and reverse the epidemic of chronic disease one patient at a time.  We know that the funds the American Heart Association raises goes towards research projects (almost 1,000 new projects every year), public and professional health education (CPR and AED training) and providing outlets to raise awareness about things like Stroke and Cardiac Arrest so that we feel more comfortable caring for loved ones if something happens.

The AHA trained over 29.282 people in CPR last year.  They are doing amazing things on the forefront of research, like implantable pacemakers and the first artificial heart valve.  The Heartwalk is going to be a huge event this year and we're so very excited to be a part of it and help raise money for such an amazing - and important - cause.

Cardiac Arrest and Heart Disease are among the top killers in the United States, and someone will suffer from a stroke every 40 seconds.  It is vital that we do our part in supporting an organization actively fighting to save human lives every day, because that's what we do also, and that's what we should all strive for.
