Back in the Winter of 1984, an idea was hatched. Our pipe band had been continuing under the name, Denny & Dunipace, but we had high hopes to be able to find a sponsor to help us travel to Scotland to compete in the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow. Jim Wilson decided to contact Jim Hollan, owner of the Scottish and Irish Imports shop on Main Street in Annapolis, to see if he might be interested. He was. Thus began a 5 year relationship playing under the name of the shop. It was during those 5 years that the band traveled to Scotland for the first time (1985) and in 1986 - 87, won the Grade One Eastern United States Pipe Band Championships two-years in a row.
