Full story

Hello Everyone!
I'm really not one for introductions and all that...But God has been doing some crazy stuff in my life and I would have never seen it coming and I really want to to be able to share this with all of you! As many of you know, life had gotten kinda crazy and off kilter for me over the last two to three years, but as of October 27th, 2016 I was accepted into an apprenticeship program through Youth Missions International(missiondifferently.com). This is a faith-based training organization helping young adults to live and share their faith in communities all over the world. I will be going to South Korea for 7 weeks to serve along side Awana Korea. This is a really exciting opportunity for me as I have been closely involved with Korean Culture most of my life!
The Program I am going to be a part of is called MAP (Mission Apprenticeship Program) and this program allows young adults to go to various places all over the world to live and work along side missionaries in those places. This program gives me the opportunity to learn how to combine my passions and gifts with my faith. The program focuses on preparing young adults in leadership by engaging in cross-culture ministries, creating  short-term mission trips and working with indigenous missionaries to enhance their ministries.

For the 7 weeks I will be in South Korea, I will be working with Awana Korea. With them I will be teaching kids English, leading small group conversations in English, working on English curriculum and working in the Awana Korea office. Working with kids has always been something I have loved doing! Though I have a feeling God is going to teach me a lot more than I can bargain for. He really has a way of showing me things when I least expect it.
For this trip I have to raise $4,715. This is a great opportunity for me, but I can't do it alone! I am reaching out to asked if you would people help and partner with me by making a tax-deductible gift to make my trip possible. You can help me in a few different ways. One is through a one time gift or you can do a reoccurring monthly gift or through prayer.  There is a slip enclosed that you can fill out for this. If you wish to send a check, you can make them out to Youth Missions International with my name on the memo line.  Or another option is Online, https://fundraise.missiondifferently.org/findinggodinsouthkorea .  I must send my mission project funds to Mission Differently regularly. I will keep you informed of my progress and success of my missionary efforts. All funds I raise are used for the expenses of the MAP (Mission Apprentice Program) and at the discretion of MD.
Speaking of prayer, that is another thing I will need on this trip. I have set up a Facebook group page when you can follow my journey through prep and actually going to South Korea. In this group I will post goals, what steps I have taken and prayer requests. So please feel free to join the group and follow this road God has put me on.https://www.facebook.com/groups/missionsouthkorea/
